Family Assessment

Assessment is nurturing, caring and supportive.

A Common Assessment Framework (CAF) utilising additional specialist assessment tools determines the most appropriate support/intervention to achieve the desired outcome for each family. Assessment is bespoke to meet the needs of each unique family and assessment is based on capability/competence in all routine tasks involved in caring for the child. The assessment includes observations as well as structured session work.

We use a TAF (team around the Family) approach that is multidisciplinary and sets targets/goals, identifies additional support, monitors and reviews progress. Whole family assessments provide the opportunity to bring together individual assessments to provide an overview of family strengths, risks, relationships and needs.
